we know our worth

Community and disability workers are calling for the respect and recognition we deserve. Despite the complexity of our work, our skills and experience, we are overworked, undervalued, and underpaid.

It's time for change and we need everyone to stand with us.

Respect our skills, value our experience, and protect equal pay. We deserve fair wages, career pathways, and job security.

Because we know our worth.

Community and disability workers make a difference every day. We love what we do, the people we support and the impact we can make, but right now we are overworked, undervalued and underpaid.

We are advocates, support workers, carers, counsellors, case workers and so much more to the clients and communities we work with.

We deserve recognition for the experience and depth of skill we bring to our work.

Recognition means fair pay, career pathways, training, and job security.

Recognition of the critical value of these skills is crucial to building a sustainable workforce.

We need a classification structure for community and disability services employees that ensures fair minimum rates of pay for all workers, accurately reflecting our duties, skills, experience, and qualifications.

By joining together at work we can harness our collective strength to ensure that community and disability workers are valued and respected with fair pay and secure careers- because we deserve better!
